Spout Technologies was founded in 2019 with a single conviction: that organisations of every size deserve access to world-class technology — designed with care, delivered with accountability, and built to last.
We are not a reseller. We are not a body-shop. We are an engineering and product company, active across South Africa, Zambia, the United States, and beyond — and we take genuine ownership of every outcome we produce.

Spout Technologies began as a managed IT and consulting practice — serving businesses in South Africa and Zambia that needed senior technical leadership without the cost of a full-time executive. From the outset, the work was hands-on: building infrastructure, hardening environments, solving the kinds of operational problems that generic IT vendors walk past.
As the practice matured, so did its ambition. We began building software — first for clients, then for the markets themselves. Atlas OS emerged from a clear gap: professional services firms across Africa were operating on legacy systems that could not keep pace with regulatory complexity, multi-entity client portfolios, or the demands of a modern practice. So we built the platform they needed.
Today, Spout Technologies operates across three integrated service areas — managed IT and security, systems development, and SaaS products — with Atlas OS as our flagship product and a growing client base across multiple markets. We are still early. And the most important work is ahead.

Humphrey Theodore K. Ng'ambi
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Humphrey brings over a decade of hands-on experience across managed IT services, enterprise software architecture, cybersecurity engineering, and AI integration. He has served simultaneously as virtual CIO and CTO across multiple client organisations — leading infrastructure transformations, security hardening projects, and software builds from architecture to production.
He is the principal architect of Atlas OS, the lead engineer on Spout's managed services toolchain, and the author of the company's Emergent Intelligence design framework — a philosophy that places human agency at the centre of every system Spout builds.
His work spans South Africa, Zambia, and the United States. He writes and speaks on AI ethics, the philosophy of emergent intelligence, and the future of professional services in an AI-native world.
